Although many people call themselves web designers, I prefer to be called a screen designer because nowadays, with a massive expansion of mobile devices, screen sizes and resolutions, web designers no longer design only for "the web" but also for a variety of other screens as well. Keeping track with the latest W3C specifications and best practices is a must, so the web sites I design will not require any major updates in the near future. In addition, I am also very careful regarding the cross-browser compliance, thoroughly testing in all major browsers as well as the earlier versions of browsers such as the Internet Explorer 7+ etc. The technologies I mainly use are HTML5, CSS3, Adobe Photoshop and when necessary, JavaScript and jQuery.
