Inês hails from Barcelos, Portugal. She has a BSc in Biology-Geology and a MSc in Bioinformatics from University of Minho. She was an intern in the Environment department of Barcelos Town Hall, being responsible for creating and curate a bibliographic database of animals and plants of the city. She was introduced to her professional tech job as Junior Data Scientist at PepFeed. Last job experience was working remotely as Junior Backend Developer at Followprice. Her interests range widely, from everything tech, e.g., from OCR and computer vision to machine learning and data mining, testing apps/services and products, retail challenges (product searching and prices comparison/alerts), health related fields and environment concerns, social media engagement and management among many other.
