Hi there,
I'm an experienced freelance writer and editor residing in Melbourne, Australia. I've previously completed an undergraduate degree in Creative and Professional Writing at Deakin University, Burwood, and am currently undertaking a Master's of Writing at Swinburne University.
Moreover, I was an editorial assistant and content writer for both Beat and Mixdown Magazine for over two years; these are both very reputable, not-for-profit music magazines based in Melbourne. These opportunities allowed me to strengthen my skill-set in myriad ways. I am now able to adhere to strict deadlines, write at a professional and publishable level and am both a proficient and engaging content writer.
I've now been working as a freelance writer and editor for close to two years, allowing me to further diversify my ever-growing list of expertise. I've written both lighthearted and politically informative articles for various clients and publications, but in recent months I have primarily concentrated on editing. Having edited too many essays to count, scientific studies, business reports, creative prose, a now-published thesis, a memoir, screenplays, scripts for independent video games and a non-fiction text related to the field of business, my passion for the art of editing has evolved tremendously.
As an aside, I am a novice poet who hopes to continually improve upon my tone, style and creative vision. I've very recently completed my first collection of poems, and I plan on both entering various competitions, while also attempting to publish a select few, in the months to follow.
