My interest in travel began with my desire to 'get lost' among people. My first trip overseas was New Zealand and the thrill of feeling foreign soil under my feet was enough motivation to travel to more than thirty other countries. Now, thirty years later, I still have that 'need' to travel...it's a bit like gold fever, just need to keep doing it.
Every single country I visited has a special place in my heart. Good people are to be found everywhere. These are the people who make a holiday enjoyable. And the help they offered time and time again was invaluable.
There are also bad types that should be avoided, and I have developed ways to recognise these type of people from a distance, thus avoiding problems that can ruin a holiday.
My travel expertise covers Latin America, Asia, and Europe. Of course Australia is top of the list because I was born, bred, and live here. BUt I have also lived for short periods in various countries overseas. Learning parts of different langauges provides another dimension to travel. To be able to converse with ordinary people, whatever the culture, going about their day to day activities, gives such a deeper feeling for a country or ethnic group, and a holiday becomes MORE than just a holiday. It's an experience.
In the 1980's I travelled across frontlines of war-ridden Central America. Dreadful cold sweat fear in repressive cities relieved periodically by warm friendship and love encounters. In Europe, the lure of 'running with the bulls' in Pamploma, Spain opened my eyes to great festivals they have there. From Ganja highs in the Bulldog Cafe in Amsterdam to crossing the Berlin Wall before it's destruction has left me feeling privileged, to have experienced them. And socialist U.S.S.R. like another planet ( for anyone who likes train trips, the trans siberian is one of the best). In Asia, which I have grown to love, every kind of experience is available.
I can never forget, the poorest people will offer their last meal.

Work Terms

All work terms, payment terms, and hours of operation are negociable. The initial contact should be conducted through my email : burowpaul@yahoo.com.
Depending on the service I provide, costs will vary. If only information is required, a lump sum payment would be made for that info, depending on the degree of information.
If a client needs contacts, then a different rate will apply.
If a client(s) require me to travel with them, then the fee will vary again. ( As it stands at the moment, I would be paid airfares, accomodation, food, plus US$80 per day.
Finally, the main thing to understand is that I am open to negociation.
