Work Terms
We can propose you the following types of engagement:
1) Pure Hourly / Time & Materials
Pure hourly engagements are usually best-suited for clients that have less-than-full-time needs for any particular resource. Invoices can be issued weekly, monthly, or ad-hoc depending on the particular engagement.
You will have transparent control over the development process (daily, weekly reports on the work done). You’ll be receiving reports on the total number of hours spent and will be invoiced accordingly.
2) Fixed-Price / Project-Based
Fixed-Price Projects involve defining a specific scope of work which needs to be completed with a specific timeline. Deviations from the original scope of work are documented in Change Requests. Invoices are usually split up in installments upfront and ongoing according to key milestones. Please see below an example of the possible payment scheme:
- 30% pre-payment right after the agreement is signed;
- 20% after mockups are done and approved;
- 30% after the development is 50% complete;
- The rest is due upon completion, but before launching the website.
3) Monthly ODT
A Monthly ODT engagement is one in which a client hires dedicated resources to work as part of their ongoing operations. The client is billed on a monthly basis.
4) Hourly ODT
An Hourly ODT is similar to a Monthly ODT engagement in that the client requires dedicated resources to work on their projects. The client is billed on a monthly basis; however, the client has a Base Hourly Rate, and pays for each available working hour in the month, less days or half-days in which there was Vacation, Sickness, or Holiday absence.
5) Custom Engagements
All engagements are different, and very often the right structure may be a blend of 2 or more of these defined Engagement Models. Custom engagements simply match a unique delivery model to a unique business need.
