Project Title: Advanced Personal Budgeting & Daily Expense Planner (Excel/Google Sheets)1. Project Overview

I am looking for an Excel expert to build a professional, automated, and visually clean Personal Financial Management System. The goal is for me to input my expenses daily, while the system handles all the budgeting, categorization, and monthly reporting automatically.

2. Technical Requirements & StructureTab 1: The Settings & Budget Planner (The "Goal" Page)

  • Income Setup: A section to list all expected monthly income sources (Salary, Side Hustle, etc.).

  • Budget Allocation: A list of categories where I can set a Monthly Target for each (e.g., Rent: $1,500, Groceries: $400).

  • Categorization Logic: A master list of categories (Housing, Transport, Food, Fun, Savings) that will feed into dropdown menus on other tabs.

Tab 2: The Daily Expense Log (The "Input" Page)

  • User Interface: A simple table for me to enter data daily.

  • Columns Required: * Date (Automatic or Date-Picker)

    • Description (Text)

    • Category (Dropdown menu linked to Tab 1)

    • Amount ($)

    • Account (Dropdown: Cash, Credit Card, Debit)

  • Automation: This tab must be "Infinite"—as I add rows, the math must continue to work.

Tab 3: The Monthly Summary (The "Math" Page)

  • Automated Aggregation: This tab must automatically sum up all daily entries and group them by month.

  • The Variance Engine: For every category, it must show:

    • Planned: (What I said I'd spend)

    • Actual: (What I actually spent from the Daily Log)

    • Remaining: (Planned minus Actual)

  • Conditional Formatting: "Remaining" amounts should turn Red if I am over budget and Green if I have money left.

Tab 4: The Visual Dashboard (The "Insights" Page)

  • Monthly Snapshot: A high-level view of Total Income vs. Total Expenses.

  • Spending Breakdown: A Pie or Donut chart showing which categories are eating most of my money.

  • Burn Rate: A calculation showing my "Average Daily Spend" for the current month.

  • Savings Progress: A visual progress bar showing how much I’ve saved toward my goals.

3. Advanced Features Required

  • Rollover Logic: Any unspent money in a specific category (e.g., "Medical") should automatically roll over to the next month’s budget.

  • Year-to-Date (YTD) View: A summary showing my total net worth growth over 12 months.

  • Data Protection: The formulas must be "locked" so I don't accidentally delete a calculation while entering my daily coffee.

5. Ideal Candidate Requirements

  • Expertise in Excel (Pivot Tables, SUMIFS, XLOOKUP, and Power Query).

  • Experience in Personal Finance or Bookkeeping.

  • Ability to make a "User-Friendly" interface (not just a messy spreadsheet).
