Architect Needed –1 Bedroom Cabin Design

Project Description:
I am seeking a licensed Architect or experienced Architectural Designer to design a modern 1-bedroom cabin from concept through technical drawings.
This project includes full architectural design development suitable for permitting and construction.

Scope of Work:

The selected professional will be responsible for:
1. Architectural Layout
Efficient 1-bedroom cabin floor plan
Approx. 500–700 sq ft target range
Open living/kitchen concept
Full bathroom
Storage optimization
Optional loft or vaulted ceiling concept
Designed for build efficiency and cost control

2. Elevations
Front, rear, and side elevations
Modern rustic / Caribbean contemporary aesthetic
Roof pitch and materials specification
Window and door placement
Exterior finish recommendations
3. Mechanical & Utility Planning
HVAC layout (mini split preferred)
Plumbing layout (bathroom + kitchen)
Electrical layout (lighting, outlets, panel location)
Water heater placement
Septic or cluster system tie-in considerations

4. Deliverables
Scaled architectural drawings (PDF + editable format)
Permit-ready drawing set
Basic structural concept (foundation type recommendation)
Mechanical layouts integrated into plans
Material notes
Design Intent:
Designed for a tropical / hillside environment
Maximized natural light and ventilation
Indoor-outdoor connection (deck or patio integration)
Simple footprint for repeat builds
Potential to replicate as part of a small cabin community

Ideal Candidate:
Experience designing cabins, ADUs, or small homes
Strong portfolio of modern small-space design
Knowledge of efficient construction systems
Experience designing for warm climates preferred
Ability to coordinate structural and MEP planning
Timeline:
Concept development: 1–2 weeks
Final construction drawings: 3 weeks
