Freelance Children’s Book Artist – Linework & Coloring

Job Description:We are seeking a talented freelance artist/illustrator to help finalize artwork for a children’s book. The drawings are approximately 90% complete and need professional line refinement (hard lines/cleanup) and coloring to bring them to a finished, polished look.
This is a great opportunity for an artist who enjoys working with children’s book styles—playful, colorful, and engaging visuals that appeal to kids and parents alike.

Project Scope:
Take existing sketches/drawings (already 90% finished)
Add clean, strong linework (hard lines/inking)
Apply vibrant, consistent coloring across all illustrations
Ensure the style is cohesive throughout the book
Deliver print-ready digital files
Requirements:
Strong illustration and coloring skills (digital art preferred)
Experience with children’s book illustrations or similar projects
Ability to follow the existing style while enhancing details
Attention to detail and creativity in bringing characters/scenes to life
Familiarity with preparing artwork for printing and publishing
Preferred Skills:
Proficiency in Photoshop, Illustrator, Procreate, or similar digital tools
Previous experience with book formatting or working alongside authors
Deliverables:
Finalized, polished illustrations with consistent linework and color
High-resolution files suitable for print (PDF, PNG, TIFF, or PSD layered files)
