Automated Drawing-to-Video Rendering Tool
Description: I’m looking for a developer to create a framework/tool that renders static drawings into dynamic videos—similar in concept to generative art projects like Geomorphism on fxhash.
Key Features:
Input: A batch of static drawings (starting with a .jpg).
Output: A batch of video files, one per drawing, showing a dynamic rendering process (e.g., stroke-by-stroke animation or generative transformations).
Automation: The tool should support batch processing—no manual interaction required between input and output.
Rendering Style: Ideally inspired by generative or parametric art techniques (feel free to bring creative input here).
Export Format: Common video formats (MP4 preferred), with resolution and frame rate configurable.
Platform: Can be CLI-based or web-based; open to recommendations.
Preferred Skills:
Experience with generative art frameworks (e.g., p5.js, Three.js, Processing, shaders).
Experience in video generation/rendering pipelines.
Automation/batch processing (Node.js, Python, or other suitable stack).
Creative problem-solving and attention to detail.
Deliverables:
Working tool (codebase or app) that takes a folder of input drawings and returns a folder of rendered videos.
Basic documentation on setup, usage, and customization.
Optional: Example video outputs based on sample drawings.
Budget & Timeline: Please provide an estimate based on your approach. Fast turnaround preferred but open to proposals.
