Embedded Hardware Engineer – CAN Bus & Cellular IoT Dongle (Prototype)


We are developing a prototype CAN-based IoT dongle for vehicles and construction machinery

(OBD-style form factor), used for collecting operational data and transmitting it securely

to a cloud backend.


We are looking for an experienced Embedded Hardware Engineer to design the hardware

for a prototype device.


This is a prototype-focused project (not mass production yet), but with a clear path

towards productization.


Scoop:


- Design schematic and PCB for a CAN-based IoT dongle

- MCU + CAN transceiver integration

- Cellular modem integration (LTE-M / NB-IoT or LTE Cat-1)

- Power supply design for 12V / 24V vehicle systems

- Basic automotive/industrial protection (ESD, transient, reverse polarity)

- External antenna support (cellular)

- Support prototype bring-up and basic validation


Required skills:  


- Embedded hardware design experience

- CAN bus hardware design (automotive or industrial)

- MCU platforms such as STM32 or NXP

- Cellular IoT modem integration

- Power supply design for vehicle environments

- Experience delivering schematics + PCB files


Nice to have:


- Experience with OBD-II dongles or vehicle telematics

- Experience with rugged / industrial IoT devices

- Familiarity with EMC considerations

- Support for future certification (CE / E-mark) is a plus
