We will be hiring several designers with various visions so we can build a portfolio of templates for our clients to select from.
Scope of work
- Design one front and back layout for sports cards with specific dimensions: bleed to 2.75 (w) x 3.75 (h), print crop is at 2.5 x 3.5 and all text/image/design elements are to be within 2.375 x 3.375.
- Create polished, high-end looks with attention to detail in typography (All fonts MUST be Adobe), textures, and effects with no plug-ins required.
- Work in Adobe Illustrator (imported into Photoshop) and Photoshop and deliver finals layered, editable PSD (not flattened).
- Ensure designs can incorporate finishes like foil, holographic, and metallic effects. "A_WHITE_SPOT" layer mask is currently what is determined as not having hologram effects, feel free to incorporate those elements into your design details.
- Deliver finals in layered and editable Adobe PSD files with organized and labeled layers. Before we go to print, we must boil layers into one above and below the athlete (C_SUBJECT layer) so any and all fx need to be able to be flattened into a single layer without losing effects.
- Provide initial concepts as jpgs (stage 1) and final print-ready versions in Photoshop PDF (stage 2). Deliverables: (jpgs) Initial concepts based on project brief. Final layered Adobe files (PSD=AI) for one front of and corresponding one back of sports card
Ideal Candidate
- Expert in Adobe Photoshop and Illustrator.
- Ability to deliver layered files per protocol for easy editing.
- Strong eye for modern, premium, and energetic design styles.
- Responsive communicator with a willingness to work with feedback and tight timelines.
- Familiarity with print production techniques such as CMYK, bleed, trim, spot UV, foil stamping.
- Portfolio showcasing sports-related or trading card designs is a plus.
Here are backgrounds we already have. We are looking for robust, modern designs for all aspects of sports, etc.
Then we will have you create Templates that we can upload into our system, so people can select a background and create their own customized cards.
