Book Cover Designer – Front, Back, and Spine (Amazon, Amazon KDP, IngramSpark, Barnes & Noble)

Job Description:

I’m seeking an experienced book cover designer to finalize the full cover layout (front, back, and spine) for a professionally published 6x9 paperback and hardcover edition. The concept design and mockups are already complete. This role is to finalize and prepare print-ready, industry-standard PDF files for upload to Amazon KDP, IngramSpark, and Barnes & Noble Press.

Responsibilities:

Create final print-ready covers for three books in a trilogy (front, back, and spine).
Match the provided mockups exactly in layout, font, and overall visual tone.
Adjust spine width according to final page count and printer specs.
Ensure compliance with KDP, IngramSpark, and B&N print requirements (bleed, margins, barcode area, color profiles, etc.).
Deliver final high-resolution PDF files and layered design files (PSD, AI, or InDesign).
Provide one version with the barcode and one blank version without.


Deliverables:

3 full-wrap book covers (front, back, and spine) in PDF format.
High-res flat JPG/PNG mockups for marketing use.
Source files (PSD, AI, or INDD).

All text content (titles, subtitles, back-cover copy, and author bio).
Color and font references for exact matching.


Ideal Candidate:

Experience with book cover design for print and eBook formats.
Strong understanding of typography, layout, and color balance.
