Business & Finance Data Science & Analytics

Reporting to the Business Intelligence Coordinator, the EMEA Business Intelligence Analyst will be a key contributor within the global Business Intelligence team, supporting the development and delivery of accurate, timely, and actionable insights across core business areas including Retail, Finance, Loss Prevention, and Merchandising. This role plays a vital part in managing the company’s data ecosystem—ensuring high-quality data collection, analysis, and reporting—and in fostering a data-driven culture across regions. The Analyst will work closely with global stakeholders and collaborate with BI team members to develop impactful data products, lead analytical initiatives, and support companies operational work.


Main responsibilities:

  • Stakeholder Collaboration: Act as the primary BI contact for EMEA stakeholders to gather business requirements and translate them into technical deliverables.
  • Leadership in Forums: Lead and facilitate the EMEA data forum meetings, ensuring alignment, prioritization, and follow-up on data needs.
  • Project Support: Support the global migration from SSRS to Power BI by gathering regional requirements, preparing documentation, and ensuring successful transitions.
  • Operational Management: Oversee the BI ticketing system (requests from head office and Retail Team), ensuring timely triage, prioritization, and assignment of tasks within the team.
  • Data Analysis & Insight Generation: Analyze structured data to provide insights and recommendations for operational improvements and strategic decision-making.
  • Report & Dashboard Development: Design, build, and maintain reports and dashboards in Power BI that support business functions and performance tracking.
  • Quality Assurance: Ensure data integrity, accuracy, and consistency across all reporting outputs and dashboards.
  • Collaboration with Analysts: Work closely with other analysts in Australia to align global reporting standards, share knowledge, and coordinate cross-region efforts
  • Training & Enablement: Support business users by providing training and documentation on Power BI reports and BI best practices.

 

Requirements:

Must have

  • University Degree
  • 3 years of experience on similar position
  • Proven track record in supporting data transformation projects, nice to have would be migrating from legacy systems to modern BI tools like Power BI
  • Experience in working with Power BI
  • Experience manipulating and analyzing structured and unstructured data with SQL (any SQL dialect)
  • Knowledge of ETL/ELT, Modelling and Reporting
  • MS Excel in advanced level
  • experience in working with data stakeholders and addressing their needs effectively
  • Comfortable leading meetings
  • Passion for data and love for driving decisions through numbers 
  • English at business level


Nice to have

  • Experience in working with Reporting Services (SSRS), 
  • Experience of Microsoft SQL Server SSIS, MS Azure environment (databricks Synapse, etc.). 
  • Excellent judgment, curiosity, confidence, and a sense of humor.
  • Exposure to Agile ways of working and tools like JIRA
