I want to develop a web in c++ but it is a pain to setup, so I want to have the starter setup project prepared and ready to use, so I can just start programming the content, and not fiddle with libraries or cmake or anything like this.
The goal:
Create a github repository with these things prepared:
1) It will be in C++,
2) There will be a library for generating web pages https. All the basic functionality will be there, like sessions etc.
3) There will be also a mysql library to access mysql server.
4) There will Unitcpp library for unit tests.
5) There will be a library to access other pages through curl.
6) There will a library to parse html, so it can be processed in an easy way.
7) Everything will be statically linked, no dll.
7) It can generate MSVC project files and can compile on windows.
8) The same code can be compiled and work on linux, so it can run on the actual web server.
9) The code needs to be deployable on the nearlyfreespeech.com hosting, which has limitations of not being able to install any libraries other than those present, the system is freebsd. All non-standard libraries has to be part of the repository, and not asked to be installed through apt-install. Standard libraries like cmake, clang, g++ and similar are already present on the server.
10) It will contain some sample code which generates a hello world page in html, it will connect to a specified sql server and return result of a simple query.
Warning: I already got one freelancer to do the job, but it just wasted several hours of mine, as the freelencer generated something that looked like a solution, but didn't work, the setup was never tested by the freelencer.
I'm suspecting it was just someone using chatGPT to generate something that looks like a solution, but is actually garbage.
I hope I can find someone who actually is expert on these things, and can make it work reliable and test it before it gets sent to me.
The better it is done, and the faster it is done, the more I pay.
