I’m looking for a skilled and imaginative illustrator or digital artist to help bring my children’s book across the finish line. The book is fully written and all of the illustrations have been generated in a cohesive style, but they need significant editing and enhancement to meet professional publishing standards.
What You’ll Be Doing:
- Editing existing illustrations to match specific character references and scenes
- Adding clever visual details that align with the book’s humor, heart, and story beats
- Ensuring consistency in style, color palette, lighting, and character design
- Making scene adjustments for clarity, storytelling, and visual appeal
- Preparing final art files for layout and print
About You:
- You’re fast, detail-oriented, and highly creative
- You have a great sense of humor and emotional tone, and you know how to make illustrations speak to kids (and their parents)
- You’re comfortable working with AI-generated base images and enhancing them into polished illustrations
- You can interpret feedback quickly and collaborate well
- You have a strong portfolio that shows your storytelling skills and character work
Timeline:
- Project needs to be finished within a few weeks, so availability and speed are important
- Roughly 15–20 images will require edits of varying complexity
