Cinematic Short-Form Video Editor Needed (Food Brand)


I run a smashburger food truck brand creating scroll-stopping cinematic social content that blends premium food commercials with viral street footage.


I’m looking for a high-level editor who understands pacing, impact moments, and brand storytelling — not someone relying on templates or gimmicks.


The goal: create short-form videos people watch twice.


If you can make cheese melts feel dramatic and smash moments feel powerful, this project is for you.


Scope of Work

Edit short-form vertical content for Instagram, TikTok, and Facebook:

  • Grill action, smash moments, cheese melt, fry drops
  • Customer reactions and interaction moments
  • Brand-style reels and promos
  • Music-driven pacing and clean transitions
  • Impact edits (smash, flip, bite, steam release)
  • Crisp, high-contrast cinematic color
  • Subtle text overlays where needed


Compensation: $30 per finished reel (15–30 seconds), with opportunity for ongoing work.


Style Direction

Premium food commercial × street-level energy

Focus on texture, heat, motion, anticipation, and payoff moments.

Avoid heavy filters, gimmicks, and generic TikTok edits.


Ideal Candidate

  • Strong Reels / TikTok editing experience
  • Skilled with tasteful overlays and lightweight motion templates that enhance impact moments without looking “template-driven.”
  • Excellent pacing and rhythm instincts
  • Skilled at highlighting food texture and detail
  • Clean cinematic grading style
  • Understands hooks, retention, and replay value


Bonus: food, restaurant, street-food, or lifestyle brand work
