I have a website that sells sports photography (https://www.fotografoguayaquil.com/galeria-deportes/galeria-deportes.php). It has an admin panel where photo posting is managed.
Whenever a gallery with a large number of photos (8,000, 10,000, or 15,000 photos) is published, a loading time error occurs that affects the workflow when posting photos.
In the admin section, on the page where photos are uploaded, there is a section I want to edit so that all the thumbnails of the uploaded photos are not displayed.
What is the problem?
In galleries with more than 8,000 photos, this page takes a long time to load because it has to display thumbnails of all the published photos.
What am I looking for?
I want this specific page to load quickly every time a batch of photos is uploaded.
What solution do I propose?
- Show only the last 100 thumbnails of the photos posted, to make loading times much faster, or provide a valid alternative to correct this problem.
- Leave the search engine enabled so that when you need to search for and edit a photo, you can easily find it.
Other useful information:
- The site is built using pure PHP.
- Photos are posted in batches of 1,000.
