Data Engineer/Azure Functions Developer

In Cloud BI we are looking for a highly skilled Data Engineer & Azure Functions Developer to join our technology consulting team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in data engineering, hands-on experience with Azure Cloud services, and deep knowledge of serverless computing using Azure Functions and Service Bus. This role requires a solid foundation in SQL, Entity Framework, and experience with modern data processing tools such as Data Factory, Databricks, Synapse, and Data Lake. This is a fully remote position with client located in Europe.

KEY RESPONSABILITIES:
Implement Azure Functions and Service Bus solutions to orchestrate and automate data workflows and system integrations.
Develop and optimize data models and database solutions using Entity Framework and MSSQL (SQL Server Management Studio).
Collaborate with cross-functional teams (Data Scientists, BI Analysts, and Developers) to deliver end-to-end data solutions.
Work in an agile and collaborative environment, proactively identifying opportunities for improvement in data processes and automation.

REQUIREMENTS
Must have
Proven experience as a Data Engineer or Azure Developer working in Azure cloud environments.
Strong hands-on experience with Azure Functions and Azure Service Bus.
Solid knowledge of Entity Framework and SQL (MSSQL).
Strong understanding of data integration patterns and data architecture best practices.
Experience building and maintaining ETL/ELT pipelines.
Proficiency in corporate English, both written and spoken (minimum B2 level).
Ability to work independently in a remote and multicultural team environment.

Nice to have
Experience with Azure DevOps, CI/CD pipelines, and version control systems.
Knowledge of data governance, security, and monitoring best practices in Azure.
Previous experience with data processing automation using Python and C#.
Expertise in Azure Data Factory, Databricks, Synapse, and Data Lake.
Demonstrated experience with Azure Databricks for data analytics and processing will be highly valued.
