Data Entry Specialist for Import/Export Documents & Sheet Organization
Summary
Description:We're looking for a detail-oriented contractor to help extract data from import/export documents and input it into Google Sheets or Excel files in an organized and accurate way.You’ll be working with forms like:Canadian & USA Customs Entry FormsCommercial invoicesPacking listsBills of ladingPedimentos (Mexican customs)Internal audit files and inventory reportsWhat You’ll Do:Review PDF documents and extract required data points (e.g., invoice number, product description, duties paid, etc.)Enter extracted data into structured spreadsheets according to templates we provideOrganize the data by shipment, product type, or other relevant criteriaPerform light cleanup and validation for accuracy and consistencyIdeal Candidate:Experienced in data entry or document reviewComfortable working with customs/import/export documentation (a plus, not required)Proficient in Google Sheets/ExcelDetail-obsessed with strong organizational skillsAvailable for quick turnarounds on a weekly basisBonus if you have:Experience with Canadian or U.S. customs documentsPrior work in duty drawback or freight logisticsFamiliarity with OCR tools for faster extraction (but this job can be manual)This will start as a short-term project, but could evolve into ongoing work for the right person.To apply:Briefly share relevant experience (especially with similar documents or data entry work)Share your hourly rateConfirm your availability (hours/week and time zone)
