My name is Lauren Caputo, and I am the founder of Save Them Pawll, a California nonprofit public benefit corporation. Our mission is to aid and collaborate with small animal rescues by creating efficiency, providing resources, and freeing up their time to focus on saving more animals.
We are seeking a development partner to build our flagship technology platform: a mobile application designed to be the "Postmates for Animal Rescues". The goal is to create a seamless infrastructure that connects small animal rescues with available volunteer and paid transporters.
Project Overview: Minimum Viable Product (MVP) - Phase 1
Our objective is to build a scalable Minimum Viable Product (MVP) for an iOS platform with the potential for future expansion to Android. We are aiming for a rapid development cycle to begin beta testing within the next couple of months.
Key Features and Functionality:
The app requires three distinct user roles: Rescuer, Coordinator, and Transporter. The core functionalities include:
* Real-Time Tracking & Mapping: A map interface that allows rescuers/coordinators to see the real-time location of a transporter, including ETA for both pickup and drop-off.
* Transport Request System: Rescues or coordinators can post transport requests with critical details such as pickup/drop-off locations, animal size, and any special needs.
* Emergency Transport: A specific feature to flag urgent, same-day transports that provides priority notifications and allows for higher payment to incentivize quick responses.
* Flexible Payment System: Transporters can set their own price, accept a fee based on mileage, or opt to volunteer their time by forgoing payment.
* User Profiles and Vetting: Transporter profiles will include information on their vehicle type, preferred travel distance, and availability. Rescues can specify what supplies they have available at pickup.
* In-App Communication: A secure messaging system for rescuers, coordinators, and transporters to communicate directly, including the ability to share documents like medical records and vet notes.
* Rating and Feedback System: Users can provide feedback and rate their experience with other users on the platform.
Budget and Timeline:
Our estimated budget for this initial MVP is in the $5,000 - $10,000 range, with the goal of a quick turnaround for beta testing and launch.
We are confident that this platform will address major pain points for animal rescues, and we are excited to partner with a team that shares our passion for this mission.
Please let me know if you are available to discuss this project further and provide a quote.
Thank you for your time and consideration.
Sincerely,
Lauren Caputo
