Focus:
- Integrate controllers (sensors for pH, oxygen, temp, cameras) with Portenta.
- System has controllers/frequency drives for basic automation from ~50 sensors; edge computer processes, visualizes data.
- Develop simple vision-based ML models for farm recommendations, with future automation (e.g., feeding adjustments).
- Research best protocols (MQTT, CAN, Modbus), frameworks (Arduino IDE, PlatformIO), platforms (Edge Impulse, TensorFlow Lite) for on-device ML.
- Collaborate with team (engineers, biologists, data scientists) to build scalable solutions using Portenta's features (dual-core, AI accel, industrial I/O). Goal: advance productive, efficient, accessible fish farming.
