Finance Domain Expert – AI Model Evaluation

Location: Remote

Contract Type: Independent Contractor (1099)

Project Duration: Approximately 1–3 months

We are seeking experienced Finance Domain Experts to support an AI model evaluation initiative. This role involves working with AI and engineering teams to evaluate and improve large language models (LLMs) used in financial research and analysis.

The ideal candidate has extensive experience in Investment Banking, Private Equity, Equity Research, or Asset Management and is comfortable breaking down complex financial workflows into structured evaluation criteria.

Key Responsibilities
Define research-based financial workflows within your area of expertise.
Design evaluation frameworks and test cases for AI-generated outputs.
Assess AI capabilities across complex financial tasks including:
Financial statement analysis
Company valuation
Market research
Risk assessment
Financial modeling
Curate and annotate high-quality financial data for AI model training.
Review AI-generated responses and provide expert feedback to improve accuracy.
Collaborate with AI engineers and product teams to refine financial reasoning and model performance.

Required Experience
12+ years of professional experience in one or more of the following:
Investment Banking
Private Equity
Asset Management
Equity Research
Experience with financial modeling, valuation, and investment analysis.
Strong analytical and critical thinking skills.
Excellent written and verbal communication.
Experience working with cross-functional teams.
Familiarity with AI, machine learning, or Large Language Models (LLMs) is preferred.
Experience with prompt engineering, data annotation, rubric creation, or AI evaluation is a strong advantage.
