Finance Manager/ Financial Controller

We are a residential construction company based in Melbourne, Australia.

We are seeking a long-term Construction Finance Manager / Financial Controller to assist with the financial administration, controls, reporting and systems within our business.

This is a hands-on role. We are not looking for a traditional CFO who only provides high-level advice. We are looking for someone who is comfortable performing the work as well as helping improve systems and processes.

Responsibilities may include:

Purchase Order (PO) creation and management
Supplier administration
Accounts payable
Invoice processing
Receipt processing
Cost coding
Xero management
Job costing
Cashflow reporting
Creditor management
Debtor management
Financial reporting
Process improvement
Xero experience
Previous construction industry experience preferred
Understanding of job costing and cost codes
Experience managing purchase orders
Strong attention to detail
Excellent written and spoken English
