FREELANCE PARALEGAL OR LEGAL ASSISTANT

LEGAL ASSISTANT or PARALEGAL needed to assist with several upcoming jury trials in Colorado:

October 9–17, 2025: Jury trial in Gunnison (outside Crested Butte)
November 13–21, 2025: Jury trial in Aspen
January 16–23, 2026: Jury trial in Aspen

Applicants may live outside Colorado but must be available to travel to Aspen and Crested Butte for trial preparation and attendance. Lodging, transportation, and a per diem for meals are provided, in addition to hourly pay from $40–$85 DOE.

Prior trial support experience not required. Duties will be commensurate with training and experience, but will generally include trial preparation (e.g., witness scheduling and subpoenas, preparing trial and exhibit notebooks) and in-court support (e.g., researching prospective jurors, coordinating sequestered witnesses, tracking admitted exhibits).

Ability to stay composed in high-pressure courtroom settings
Polished and professional presence, with an engaging demeanor that projects confidence in front of juries, judges, and witnesses
Clear, articulate communication and attentive listening skills
