We are seeking a knowledgeable and detail-oriented Gemstone and Jewelry Appraiser to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for accurately grading and appraising gemstones and jewelry pieces, providing expert evaluations based on established industry standards.
Responsibilities:
* Provide Certified Gemologist Report of Gemstone
- Examine and assess gemstones and jewelry items to determine quality, authenticity, and value.
- Conduct detailed grading based on color, clarity, cut, carat weight, and other relevant factors.
- Utilize specialized tools and equipment such as loupe, microscope, refractometer, and spectroscope.
- Prepare comprehensive appraisal reports that accurately document findings.
- Verify gemstone treatments, enhancements, and origins when applicable.
- Maintain up-to-date knowledge of industry standards, market trends, and gemstone grading techniques.
- Communicate appraisal findings clearly to clients, buyers, or other stakeholders.
- Ensure all appraisal activities comply with relevant ethical and legal standards.
Qualifications:
- Proven experience in gemstone and jewelry appraisal, grading, or related field.
- Certification from recognized gemological institutions (e.g., GIA, AGS, IGI) preferred.
- Strong knowledge of gemology, mineralogy, and jewelry design.
- Attention to detail and excellent analytical skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Good communication and customer service skills.
