Project Overview:
We are seeking an experienced freelance graphic designer with strong skills in document formatting and instructional design to support the redevelopment of our Management Development Programme materials.

The project involves updating and standardising 8 existing training modules into a professionally branded format aligned with Nua Healthcare Services. The template will be provided. In addition, the successful freelancer will compile these modules into a cohesive 'Learner Manual' and develop a corresponding 'Trainer Manual'.

This role requires not only design expertise but also the ability to refine and adapt content to ensure clarity, consistency, and alignment with QQI (Quality and Qualifications Ireland) requirements. The QQI aspect is very important.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Review and professionally format 8 existing training modules
  • Apply Nua Healthcare Services branding consistently across all materials
  • Improve layout, structure, readability, and visual presentation
  • Light copywriting and editing to enhance clarity and learner engagement
  • Ensure content aligns with QQI standards and best practices for training materials
  • Compile all modules into a structured Learner Manual
  • Develop a complementary Trainer Manual (including guidance notes, delivery prompts, and structure)
  • Ensure consistency in tone, formatting, and instructional flow across all documents


Deliverables:

  • 8 fully formatted and branded training modules
  • 1 complete Learner Manual (compiled and designed)
  • 1 complete Trainer Manual
  • Editable source files (PowerPoint, Canva, or Word – to be agreed)
  • Print-ready and digital versions of all documents



Required Skills & Experience:

  • Strong graphic design and document layout skills (Adobe InDesign, Illustrator, or similar)
  • Experience designing training materials, manuals, or educational content
  • Excellent attention to detail and consistency
  • Strong written English and copy-editing skills
  • Understanding of adult learning principles and instructional design
  • Familiarity with QQI standards (or similar accreditation frameworks) is highly desirable



Nice to Have:

  • Experience working in healthcare, social care, or training sectors
  • Ability to suggest improvements to structure and learner engagement
  • Experience creating both learner-facing and trainer-facing materials



Project Details:

  • Start Date: 6th July 2026 (or earlier)
  • Due Date: 31st July 2026
  • Communication: Weekly updates required
