App Context (Creative Brief) Before moving on to the technical details, I want to give you some context about the app so you can get inspired for the design of the icon, graphics, and screenshots:
- App Name: Will be provided upon hire.
- The Concept: It is a pet grooming and care services platform. It focuses mainly on dogs and cats, but is inclusive of other types of animals.
- Key Services: The interface and features highlight services like baths, blow-drying, haircuts, nail trimming, and it features a module for selling specialized products.
- The Dynamic: The app connects pet owners with the professionals providing the service (groomers), managing the logistics through the app, while the service is provided both in-home and at the salon.
- Visual Ideas (Optional): I am looking for a design that conveys cleanliness, trust, and friendliness. It would be great to explore concepts that mix service elements (scissors, bubbles, water) with pets (paw prints, silhouettes).
Below, I have detailed the exact technical specifications of the graphic assets I need to publish the app on the Google Play Store and for the installation icon.
1. Store Assets (Google Play Store) These are the graphics users will see when searching for the app in the store:
a) Store Icon (App Icon):
- Dimensions: 512 x 512 px.
- Format: PNG (32-bit, with transparent background/alpha channel allowed).
- Maximum Size: 1 MB.
- Important: It must be a perfect square. Do not round the corners or add drop shadows, as Google applies these effects automatically. Keep the logo centered with a safe margin.
b) Feature Graphic:
- Dimensions: 1024 x 500 px.
- Format: JPEG or PNG (24-bit, no transparent background/alpha channel).
- Maximum Size: 1 MB.
- Important: Keep text and key elements in the center (about 15% away from all edges) to prevent them from being cropped on different screens.
2. Launcher Icon (For the user's phone) For the icon that will be installed on the phone, Android uses a dynamic format called "Adaptive Icons," which requires two separate layers.
Please provide two independent files with these characteristics:
- Preferred Formats: Ideally in vector (SVG). If that is not possible, then a 512 x 512 px PNG.
- Layer 1: Background: A file that covers the entire background. It can be a solid color, gradient, or pattern. It must not have any transparency.
- Layer 2: Foreground: The main logo. This file must have a transparent background.
- Safe Zone: The logo must be centered and occupy no more than 66% of the canvas to prevent the operating system from cropping it when applying its own shapes (circle, square, etc.).
