I'm looking for a hand-drawn illustration of an optical instrument I've designed. The composition includes two lens-shaped objects and two spheres arranged with light rays passing between them. Not quite a product sketch, not quite a scientific diagram — somewhere in between.
Style requirements:
— Pencil and coloured pencil, or ink line with hand-colouring. Not digital rendering.
— Precise geometric construction (measured lines, real angles) but visibly hand-made — the drawing should show the hand.
— Objects drawn with real dimensional depth, not flat. Selective colour on parts, not the whole piece.
— Light background — cream, off-white, or plain paper.
I have a rough digital layout showing the composition, which I'll share privately with shortlisted candidates.
Please include portfolio samples of your hand-drawn technical or product illustration work — particularly anything showing objects rendered with dimensional shading built from pencil construction lines. Please do not send digital vector work or fully rendered CGI samples; they aren't the register I need.
Follow-on work is likely for the right person.
Budget: £40–£100 fixed price, depending on experience and portfolio fit.
Timeframe: Two weeks from award.
