Hi there,

I live in Long Beach and could use some help filming a short ~5-8 minute video that I will use to promote my new company. It is kind of a dumb / funny video but I'll explain my thought process to see if you're interested. I would need help recording and producing and maybe with the story a bit. Ideally we can make a great video and continue working together in the future.

My company is stock-trading education. Its called Pinpoint Trading (pinpointtrading.com) I ran a company called Trading Experts the last 8 years with a partner and now going off on my own, so want to film a funny promotional short video in the sense I've been "in the shadows" the past 8 years and finally ready to outwardly market the company to the public.

I’m pretty obsessed with shaolin monk culture and feel its very relevant to stock trading as a business -- discipline being the most important emotional tool.

I was really inspired by the top video from freddie gibbs and the treatment is a play on that. I have a more detailed write up but basics would be ---

Opening scene - “ikigai” explanation

  • Narrator speaking in japanese with english subtitles while b roll plays

  • Instead of “pasta/alfredo themed” I would do “sushi themed”

  • B roll of close up sushi making details similar to opening 45 seconds of freddie gibbs video

  • My wife walks in to restaurant

    • Quick cuts to her sitting at table with baby eating sushi

  • Yakuza/mob boss looking individuals walk in and sit at table across from wife

    • “Tell him it’s time. He is needed.”

  • Wife laughs subtly/disinterested/almost cocky

    • “He’s not coming back for you” still eating her sushi, not giving the conversation real energy

  • Mob bosses - “he is needed. Tell him _____ (dont have this yet)___. He will understand”Transition out to next scene (maybe night time b roll of car leaving / little tokyo at night - similar to 1:58-2:20 in Freddie Gibbs video- notice vibe/music change)

    2nd scene Forest scene

  • Training scene

  • B roll of me in monk clothing “chopping wood, carrying water” type activities. Very relevant to the stock trading world.

  • I am trying to mimic the training scene from Kill Bill and mix in the training scene from Freddie Gibbs video. My wife will be dressed in a “Pai Mai” costume from Kill Bill. I think this will give it some comedic value.

  • I’m training with Pai Mai and he says (in japanese with english subtitles) “i heard they want you back”

  • I respond (in english) something like “I’ve already climbed the mountain, I much prefer the peace”

  • Pai Mai “Even at the top of the mountain….. There’s always another peak”

  • Quick cut to scene 3

Scene 3 Office Scene

  • I have cool glass office in my backyard

  • “Welcome to pinpoint trading! For years I’ve operated in the shadows and now finally ready to show the world our work….. Etc.”

  • I’d like to somehow end it with b-roll and my voice reading the ikigai statement that was read in japanese in the opening scene. Let me know what you think and if you have any interest. I’m still working out the ideas in my head but would love some professional help and it would be great to be able to quickly make these silly promotional videos in the future.
