Illustrator/Designer Needed for Modern Comic-Book Meets Corporate Website Hero Section
We’re seeking a talented illustrator or graphic designer to create a bold, modern comic-book-style hero section for Geoff Media, a creative media company building imaginative cultural, storytelling, and entertainment brands.
This should feel like a polished contemporary editorial comic—not a generic superhero poster, children’s cartoon, or AI-generated collage.
My thought is to have my three main products in 1/2 to 2/3 of tge hero, the corporate logo and tag line in last part. Comic style panels, panel breaks, non-linear paneis . .see examles attached.
Creative Direction
The hero will use a clean, predominantly white composition with:
- Three to four interconnected comic panels
- Artwork concentrated primarily on the right side
- Intentional white space on the left for our logo, headline, copy, and CTA
- Sharp panel borders and selective border-breaking elements
- Modern pop-comic energy
- Controlled Ben-Day dots, halftones, motion lines, and dimensional layering
- Strong visual storytelling without making the composition feel crowded
The panels will introduce three Geoff Media worlds:
- Geofroggy – geography, culture, community, and global discovery
- PlaidLibs – playful word games and collaborative storytelling
- Hoheto Kai – imaginative creatures, sound, and world-building
We will provide brand references, character artwork, logos, colors, and examples of the intended visual direction.
Scope and Deliverables
- One original desktop hero composition
- A responsive/mobile adaptation
- Separate or layered panel artwork where practical
- Final editable source file
- Web-ready exports in PNG/WebP
- High-resolution master artwork
- Commercial usage rights
- Up to two revision rounds
The artwork must accommodate website cropping and responsive layouts. Important characters and visual details should remain inside an agreed safe zone.
Ideal Candidate
- Strong portfolio in comic illustration, pop art, editorial illustration, or entertainment branding
- Excellent composition and visual storytelling skills
- Experience designing artwork for responsive websites
- Ability to combine multiple brand worlds into one cohesive scene
- Comfortable working from existing character and brand references
- Reliable communicator who can provide progress sketches before final rendering
Important Style Notes
We want something distinctive, premium, energetic, and brand-ready. We are not looking for:
- A conventional caped-superhero aesthetic
- Dark, gritty comic-book artwork
- A crowded comic page filled with dialogue balloons
- Stock illustrations or unedited template artwork
- Unapproved generative-AI output
If AI-assisted tools are part of your workflow, please explain exactly how they are used. Final work must be commercially usable and free of third-party intellectual-property concerns.
