We are conducting a simple image collection task to help improve multilingual text recognition. Freelancers in China (Simplified Chinese) and Taiwan/Hong Kong (Traditional Chinese) are required to capture real-world images following our official guidelines.
Work Scope:
- Take photos of everyday items with visible text (e.g., business cards, storefronts, flyers, receipts, schedules, menus, timetables).
- Capture 3 photos per object (different angles/lighting).
- Ensure variety and avoid duplicates.
- 75% Text should be in Simplified Chinese or Traditional Chinese. The remaining 25% can be in English or another language.
Requirements:
- Native/near-native in Simplified Chinese or Traditional Chinese.
- Currently located in China (Simplified Chinese) and Taiwan/Hong Kong (Traditional Chinese).
- Access to a smartphone with a good-quality camera.
Process:
- Images must be organized by category into folders.
- Apply the file naming convention (will be shared after selection).
- Upload to Google Drive and share the folder link with us.
Payment:
- Based on the number of approved images.
- Images that are blurry, duplicated, screenshots, or irrelevant will not be paid.
- Payment will be released within 15–20 days after approval.
