We have discovered a first-in-class, orally bioavailable small molecule activator of PGC1α (Peroxisome proliferator-activated receptor gamma coactivator 1-alpha) — a master regulator of mitochondrial biogenesis, cellular energy metabolism, and neuroprotection. This target is actively being explored in Alzheimer’s, Parkinson’s, aging, and neurodegenerative diseases, but no direct activator drug has reached the clinic.

We are now seeking a qualified and experienced in vivo research partner to conduct a proof-of-concept (POC) animal study validating efficacy and safety in a rodent model of neurodegeneration or mitochondrial dysfunction.

This is a real-world physical study request — the molecule must be synthesized, formulated, and dosed in live animals. Literature-based or AI-simulated data is not acceptable.

Objectives of This Study:

 1. Evaluate the neuroprotective effect and mitochondrial restoration in a validated mouse model of neuronal impairment.

2. Assess safety/tolerability, including behavioral, organ function, and toxicity markers.

3. Produce data suitable for pharmaceutical company presentation and acquisition negotiation.

Study Design Requirements:

Animal Model -

 Rodent Type: Mouse

 - Strain: C57BL/6J (commonly used in CNS and mitochondrial studies)

- Model Type (any one of the following or equivalent):

 - MPTP-induced Parkinson’s model

 - Scopolamine-induced cognitive impairment

- D-galactose-induced aging/mitochondrial decline

 - Surline: Mice must be sourced from a reliable, traceable vendor (e.g., Charles River, Jackson Labs equivalent) to ensure genetic consistency and reproducibility.

Dosing Strategy

- Administration: Oral (preferred) or IP (if formulation requires)

 - Groups:

- Vehicle Control

 - Low Dose

 - High Dose

 - Suggested: 10 mg/kg and 30 mg/kg (adjustable after synthesis/dose range analysis)

Study Duration

 - 14 to 21 days total

 - Behavioral testing in final 7 days

- Daily monitoring for weight and general health

Endpoints & Deliverables

Efficacy

 - Behavioral assays: Y-Maze, Water Maze, Rotarod

 - Mitochondrial biomarkers (optional): ATP, ROS

 - Visual/quantitative readouts: latency, alternation %, distance traveled

Toxicity
- Weight tracking

 - Observed signs: posture, lethargy, tremor

- Liver/kidney function: AST, ALT, BUN, Creatinine

- Optionally: brain/liver/kidney necropsy reports

Final Deliverables

 - Dosing details

- Animal care

 - Study timeline

- Graphs + stats

- Interpretation

- Raw data in Excel (if available)

Molecule Synthesis
The freelancer must synthesize the molecule physically in their lab prior to dosing. The structure and purity must be confirmed before administration. We can provide the SMILES and assistance on synthetic route (2 steps, drug-like scaffold).

Confidentiality
We are open to signing an NDA. Please do not disclose this molecule or study to any third party.
