Kindle Publishing Assistant
We have just published a paperback book in 9” x 6” format. It is the story of a corporate empire that reigned supreme in Australia and New Zealand in the 1980s. The book runs to 216 pages including 8 pages of photos.
We have produced an initial print run of 3,000 copies which is expected to sell out quite quickly.
We are also looking at making the book available online through the Kindle publishing platform on Amazon. We do not require a print on demand edition through Amazon – just the online version.
This will be our first book on Amazon and there are likely to be more.
As we have more than enough work to keep us fully occupied at this point of time, we wish to contract out the task of setting up and selling our titles on KDP.
If you have an existing Amazon account the book can be published through that account and in all our marketing we would say ‘available on Kindle through Amazon’.
The book sells for A$45. My initial research suggests that we would receive 35% of this on sold copies (A$15.75) per copy. At one time there were 200,000 shareholders in the business being written about.
We are looking for a proposal to set up and fully manage this, and potentially other, title(s) through the KDP publishing platform. Other proposed titles will likely sell for under the $9.97 threshold and thus enable a 65% commission payout. Under any agreement, you would be required to provide reports and transfer payment of the agreed amounts to us for sales made.
