Private Law Firm Website – Execution-Only, Content-Resilient Layout, ZIP Upload & Run, Strict Governance
A. Project Overview
We are commissioning a simple, calm, institutional website for a private UHNW-oriented law firm.
This is an execution-only project.
We are not looking for creative reinterpretation, branding input, or marketing optimization.
We will provide:
- Logo (PNG)
- All website texts (final copy)
- Full website structure (pages, hierarchy, content blocks)
- A visual mockup (for inspiration only)
- An official Brand & Design Manual (binding)
Your role is to implement, not to invent.
B. Binding Design Governance (CRITICAL)
A formal Brand & Design Manual will be provided.
This manual is:
- binding
- authoritative
- non-optional
You must:
✔ follow all rules defined in the manual
✔ respect spacing, hierarchy, tone, restraint, and visual discipline
✔ implement typography, color logic, and layout philosophy exactly
Any deviation, reinterpretation, or “practical adjustment” without explicit approval will result in non-acceptance of delivery.
C. Mockup Usage (Clarification)
A visual mockup may be provided for inspiration and orientation only.
- It is not a pixel-perfect requirement
- It is not a fixed layout
- It serves only to illustrate intended restraint, rhythm, and hierarchy
The Brand & Design Manual overrides the mockup at all times.
D. Scope of Work (Detailed)
You will:
1) Implement the Provided Structure
- pages and navigation exactly as provided
- correct internal linking
- consistent global elements (header, footer)
2) Implement Provided Text Content
- text placed exactly as provided
- no rewriting, shortening, or optimization
- correct semantic hierarchy (H1–H3, paragraphs, lists)
3) Content-Resilient Layout (CRITICAL REQUIREMENT)
The website must be fully editable without breaking design.
This means:
- texts can be shortened or extended
- paragraphs can be replaced or updated
- headings can change length
- additional lines or fewer lines must not break layout
- No hard-coded text heights
- No fixed containers that overflow or collapse
- No designs that require manual CSS/layout fixes after content changes
The layout must adapt automatically to content changes without:
- redesign
- re-spacing
- graphic intervention
- developer assistance
This requirement is non-negotiable.
E. Mandatory Delivery Format (ZIP – Upload & Run)
Final delivery must be:
- one ZIP archive
- containing the complete website
After extraction and upload via:
- cPanel / File Manager
- FTP
…the website must:
- run immediately
- require no build step
- require no tooling
- require no environment configuration
F. Technical Requirements (Must-Pass)
1. Responsiveness
- desktop
- laptop
- tablet (portrait/landscape)
- mobile (iOS & Android)
2. Cross-Browser
- Chrome
- Firefox
- Safari
- Edge
3. Quality
- clean HTML/CSS/JS
- no console errors
- no broken layouts
- no missing assets
G. What This Project Is NOT
- No copywriting
- No SEO
- No analytics or tracking
- No CTAs or funnels
- No redesign or modernization
- No animations or visual effects
- No visible templates
H. Deliverables
You must deliver:
1. One ZIP archive (complete website)
2. Upload-and-run functionality
3. Content-resilient layout
4. Optional README.txt
I. Acceptance Tests
We will verify:
- immediate functionality after upload
- responsiveness on all devices
- cross-browser compatibility
- ability to edit texts freely without layout breakage
- strict adherence to the Brand & Design Manual
J. Non-Compliance & Penalty Clause
Material Non-Compliance Clause
The following are material conditions of this project:
- ZIP “upload & run” delivery
- full responsiveness and cross-browser compatibility
- content-resilient layout (free text editing without design breakage)
- strict adherence to the Brand & Design Manual
Failure to meet any of these conditions results in:
1. non-acceptance of the delivery,
2. required corrections at no additional cost,
3. payment conditional upon successful acceptance after retesting.
Repeated failure constitutes material breach and may result in termination.
K. Confidentiality & NDA (Mandatory)
Confidentiality Notice
All materials, texts, structures, mockups, manuals, and information related to this website are strictly confidential.
You may not:
- share materials
- publish or reference the project
- use screenshots or URLs for portfolio
- disclose the existence of the engagement
This obligation survives project completion or termination.
