We are looking for a legal billing and accounts receivable specialist for our appeals firm.
Duties include:
- Completing and sending new client fee agreements and invoices.
- Following up with the client immediately to walk them through signing the fee agreement and making their payments (or retainers) using the payment links provided.
- Keep up to ensure fee agreements are signed and returned to attorneys.
- Track and/or contact clients who have unpaid payment plan invoices that are due (some clients are on payment plans) to ensure payments are made timely.
- Keep track of down payments that are agreed on when signed fee agreements are received. Let the legal team know when the down payments are made, so the case can be started.
- Obtain initial case documents and information from the client for case setup in MyCase when fee agreements are signed and down payments are made. Let the legal team know when the case is setup and ready to be started.
- Make adjustment of invoices/fee agreements when needed to due to any payment structure changes that are agreed upon by client and attorney. Reach out to client to go over the new structure and work with them on signing fee agreement and making payment.
- Ability to discuss payment plan options with the clients if changes are needed.
- Ability to work with the intake team when new clients are ready to hire and paralegal team when cases are ready to started.
- General customer service regarding AR/billing.
