Legal Criminal

We are seeking a licensed U.S. business or commercial attorney with a U.S. law firm remittance address (not a personal, home address) to assist with sending a formal demand letter on your firm’s letterhead to help recover $65,688.01 that was mistakenly wired to a former vendor.

You will not need to draft the letter. A UK-based attorney has already prepared it. We simply ask that you review the letter, refine it only if necessary, and send it on your firm’s letterhead with U.S. contact details via certified mail. The draft letter and a PDF of communications between Viderity and the defendant will be provided to you.

Case Summary:

  • Funds were wired in error to an individual contractor (Glenn Dratte) who previously completed a small marketing task for our company.

  • He acknowledged the overpayment and initially agreed to return the funds but has failed to do so.

  • Four wire recall attempts through Bank of America have failed.

  • The recipient claims to have attempted a $10 test wire but provided no proof and has not followed up with the bank despite multiple instructions.

  • Both parties bank with Bank of America.

  • Communication has since ceased: he ignores texts, and his voicemail is full.

  • We suspect potential misappropriation or fraud.

  • He is a dual resident of Florida and the U.S. Virgin Islands and also appears to answer a government phone line at the Virgin Islands Police Department.

Your Role:

  • Review and optionally refine the drafted demand letter.

  • Send it on your firm’s U.S. letterhead via certified mail.

  • Provide a remittance address and contact details for follow-up, if necessary.

Ideal Fit:

  • U.S.-licensed attorney with experience in payment disputes, collections, or commercial contract enforcement.

  • Responsive, professional, and comfortable taking swift action on a contained matter.
