Job Description:
Progressive Martial Arts Academy (PMA) is seeking a talented logo designer to modernize and elevate our current logo (attached) while retaining its recognizable identity. Our current logo features the bold letters “PMA” with a black belt tied underneath and the name “Progressive Martial Arts Academy” included.
We're looking for a creative specialist who can provide 3–5 modern mockups that update the design for better use across digital platforms, merchandise, and print.
Project Goals:
Refresh the “PMA” acronym with a bold, clean, modern font
Stylize and simplify the belt element to be more symmetrical and sleek
Introduce an updated color palette (modernized yellow, optional black/gray/white accents)
Explore options for tagline placement (e.g., circular/badge style, clean horizontal version, etc.)
Optional: Subtle martial arts symbolism (triangle inside the “A,” abstract figure, etc.)
Create at least one version that works well in monochrome
Deliverables:
3–5 mockup logo concepts (high-res PNG + vector format)
At least one horizontal and one badge-style version
Final approved logo in multiple file formats (AI, EPS, PNG, JPEG, SVG, PDF)
Qualifications:
Proven experience designing logos, preferably in sports, martial arts, or fitness industries
Strong understanding of modern design trends and scalable logo creation
Portfolio showcasing previous logo projects
Timeline:We’d like to review initial concepts within 7–10 days of hiring.
