Music Transcriber Needed — Manual Score Preparation (No AI/Software-Assisted Transcription) except the notation software for midi. The deliverables are a PDF of the score, midi recording from your DAW so I can hear your work.
I'm seeking an experienced music transcriber to take a recording and produce a complete director's/conductor's score by ear — entirely by hand, without the use of AI transcription tools or computer-aided notation software (e.g., no auto-transcription apps, no algorithmic notation generation).
Requirements:
Manual, by-ear transcription only — no AI or automated notation software of any kind may be used in the process
In-depth knowledge of classical music theory and notation is preferred
Music degree preferred
Score must include every performance nuance: dynamics (pp, p, mf, f, ff), crescendo and diminuendo markings, articulations, tempo indications, and phrasing — a complete, performance-ready director's score, not a simplified lead sheet
Applicants will be asked a brief, substantive question about the music itself (for example: "What is the harmonic resolution at bar 8?") — this is not a test or audition, simply a way to gauge genuine musical fluency
Prior transcription or score-preparation experience required; a sample of past work is mandatory
