We are looking for a native Lhasa Tibetan speaker for a meaningful two-part project. If your work is good this becomes a long term collaboration with regular ongoing paid work.

About this project:

We are building a cultural and educational audio archive of spoken Lhasa Tibetan. This project helps preserve natural everyday Lhasa Tibetan speech for future generations. Your voice and your language matter.

Part 1 — Write the sentences:

Write 200 natural everyday sentences in Lhasa Tibetan script covering simple daily topics — greetings, family, food, directions, weather, health, routines, money, emotions, work and school.

Write them exactly the way you would say them to a friend or family member at home. Casual and natural. Not formal. Not literary. Not textbook Tibetan. If it sounds like something written in a book it is wrong. If it sounds like something you would actually say in real life it is right.

One sentence per line. Delivered as a Google Doc within 3 days.

Part 2 — Record yourself reading them:

Once your sentences are approved you record yourself reading each one out loud clearly and naturally. Sessions are 30–60 minutes each.

Requirements:— Native Lhasa Tibetan speaker who grew up speaking it at home— Lhasa dialect specifically (not Amdo, not Kham)— Must write in Tibetan script only (no phonetic or Romanized spelling)— Laptop or desktop computer only (no phones)— Headset or external microphone— Completely silent environment during recording — no background noise, no music, no television, no street noise, no other people talking nearby. Any background noise results in automatic rejection of that recording.— Stable internet connection for file uploads— PayPal or Wise account to receive payment

What we provide:— Google Drive folder for all file submissions— Direct communication with our team throughout the entire project

Recording software:Use Audacity or any free recording application on your device. Any software producing clear clean audio is acceptable. Save and submit files as WAV or MP3 format only.

Pay:— Part 1 writing 200 sentences: $50 flat fee paid within 24 hours of approval— Part 2 recording: $10 per approved 30 minute session— Long term opportunity: candidates whose work passes our quality review will be invited to continue with hundreds more sentences and recording sessions over the coming months at the same rates

Our commitment to you:We review all submissions within 48 hours and pay within 24 hours of approval. We give clear feedback on every rejection so you know exactly what to improve. We treat every contributor with respect and respond to all messages within 24 hours.

Important:All written submissions are checked against machine translation tools before approval. Any work matching Google Translate or any other automated translation tool is rejected without payment. We are looking for genuine native speakers only.
