We are developing a new digital mental health and wellbeing app and are seeking a qualified counsellor or psychologist to help create engaging, evidence-based programs and content.

About the Project:
Our goal is to build a practical, compassionate, and research-informed platform that helps users improve emotional wellbeing, resilience, and self-awareness. We are looking for someone who can help shape the program structure, tone, and written content to ensure it feels both professionally credible and genuinely human.

What We’re Looking For:

  • A registered or provisionally registered psychologist, counsellor, or therapist (Australia or equivalent).

  • Strong written communication skills and the ability to translate psychological principles into relatable, motivating language.

  • Experience developing mental health programs, online therapy materials, or wellbeing content.

  • An understanding of frameworks such as CBT, ACT, mindfulness, or positive psychology is highly regarded.

  • Someone who values collaboration and can work independently with thoughtful attention to quality and accuracy.

Responsibilities:

  • Develop or review self-help and wellbeing modules for in-app delivery.

  • Contribute ideas for structured multi-week programs or daily reflection activities.

  • Ensure all materials align with ethical and evidence-based practice.

  • Provide feedback on tone, structure, and engagement flow.

Project Details:

  • Fully remote – flexible collaboration.

  • This is a contract role through Guru, with potential for ongoing involvement as the platform grows.

  • Hours and scope are negotiable depending on your expertise and availability and are ex pected to be approx. 20-25 hours per week.
    .
If you are passionate about supporting mental health through technology and enjoy creating meaningful, professional content, we’d love to hear from you.

Please apply directly through Guru with:

  • A short introduction outlining your background and interest in the project.

  • Your brief CV or credentials, and if available, examples of relevant written or program-based work.

We look forward to collaborating with someone who shares our belief that quality mental health support can — and should — be accessible, relatable, and grounded in genuine expertise.
