Part-Time Financial App Tester Needed

I’m looking for one detail-oriented financial tester to help me test a budgeting and forecasting application.
This is a small, part-time assignment for someone who understands budgeting, accounting, financial calculations, and Excel. You will work independently through assigned test questions and application features, verify the results, and clearly document any problems.
Responsibilities:
Test budgeting and forecasting features using assigned test cases
Verify revenue, expense, and net-income calculations
Compare the application’s results against Excel calculations
Test financial drivers, dates, currencies, departments, categories, filters, searches, and budget changes
Test AI-generated financial answers and actions for accuracy and consistency
Clearly document errors, unexpected behavior, and calculation differences
Retest issues after corrections are made
Recording and documentation requirements:
All billable testing sessions must be screen-recorded
Recordings must be submitted in 30-minute segments
Each segment must include written notes explaining what was tested, the results, and any issues found
Notes should include timestamps for important issues shown in the recording
Billable time without a corresponding recording and written notes will not be approved
All application information, recordings, and project materials must remain confidential
Ideal candidate:
Has a background in accounting, budgeting, FP&A, or financial analysis
Is highly proficient in Excel
Has experience testing financial or accounting software
Is extremely detail-oriented and comfortable identifying inconsistencies
Can follow written test instructions carefully
Communicates findings clearly and stays organized
This will begin as a limited paid assignment for one tester. Additional work may be available depending on performance and future testing needs.
