Process Draftsman – P&ID Creation & Validation (Remote)
Join a fast-moving startup transforming industrial data capture and validation.We’re looking for a Process Draftsman with strong experience in creating and updating P&IDs (Piping and Instrumentation Diagrams) from scratch and validating them against 3D laser scan data. This role is ideal for someone detail-oriented who thrives on turning raw data into clean, accurate engineering drawings that reflect real-world plant conditions.
You’ll play a key role in supporting remote projects by producing new P&IDs, correcting legacy drawings, and ensuring all documentation aligns with site conditions and industry standards.

What You’ll Do
Create new P&IDs from scratch using AutoCAD, based on 3D scan data and reference materials.
Update and redline existing P&IDs to reflect as-built site conditions using point cloud and scan data.
Validate drawing accuracy against 3D models and field data.
Work with engineering and field teams to ensure consistent, standard-compliant documentation.
Maintain a clear revision history and drawing control.

What We’re Looking For
Must-Have Skills
Strong experience drafting or redlining P&IDs in AutoCAD
Comfortable working from point cloud data or 3D models to inform drawing creation
Familiarity with piping components, valves, instrumentation, and tag conventions
Able to work independently and coordinate effectively with remote teams
Nice-to-Have Skills
Background in oil & gas, chemical, or industrial environments
Experience with LiDAR scan data or digital twins
Familiarity with industry standards like API, ASME, ISO for plant drawings
Knowledge of BIM tools or plant design software
