Private Event Trivia Host

A private event trivia host is a freelance employee who runs at least one regularly scheduled trivia event. Private events can occur any day of the week at any daytime or evening hours, which makes this a great opportunity to add onto other freelance employment. We love that our hosts consider trivia their “fun side hustle!” 

Event shifts vary between 1.5 to 3 hours, and the host is responsible for the game’s pacing to ensure player happiness and client satisfaction at the event.

Trivia hosts are paid for their time at the event, plus an additional 30 minutes before the event begins to set up technology and ensure everything is ready to go for the game. Event hosts are also expected to submit feedback after the event. Almost all events require you to be a DJ as well, with an event-appropriate playlist.

Job requirements include:

Must be 18 years or older
Must feel confident with public speaking
Must live or be reliably able to commute to Denver, CO and its surrounding metro areas
A friendly and approachable demeanor
Time management
Ability to use audio/visual equipment provided by the site or by Trivia Mafia, including our website app for running the trivia game and a laptop computer with an HDMI output

Job preferences include:
Experience in a customer service role
An ability to lift 45 lbs (though depending on the event, this may be wholly unnecessary)
Playlist curation skills
