Programmer with CMMI Audit Experience

We are seeking a Software Engineer to support our upcoming CMMI Level 3 audit. This role will represent the software engineering function during audit interviews.

No coding or new documentation is required — all materials are already prepared and organized in a linked spreadsheet for easy reference. Your focus will be on walking through the evidence and confidently answering auditor questions from an engineering perspective.

Requirements
Prior participation in a CMMI audit in a technical/software engineering role
Direct experience being interviewed by CMMI auditors and able to speak to software development practices
General understanding of software lifecycle activities, including:
Requirements gathering and analysis
System and software design
Coding standards and implementation
Unit, integration, and system testing
Peer reviews / code reviews
Configuration management and version control
Ability to clearly explain technical processes and workflows using prepared evidence (primarily by clicking through files and referencing headings in the artifacts)

Responsibilities
Represent the Software Engineer role during CMMI audit interviews
Use the linked spreadsheet of artifacts to walk auditors through prepared requirements docs, design documents, test records, code review logs, and configuration management files
Provide high-level, practical explanations of how engineering processes were implemented (often by reading directly from the prepared files)

Engagement Details
Short-term contract for audit preparation and participation only
Remote with coordination meetings
Must be available September 15–19, 2025 during audit hours (10am–5pm EST, a few hours as needed, scheduled flexibly)
Participate in 2–3 prep sessions (flexible times, EST)
