Project-Based Freelance Email Marketing Strategist (Drip Campaigns)

About the Role
We’re looking for an experienced freelance Email Marketing Strategist to help us build and launch multiple effective drip campaign strategies focused on customer engagement, conversion, and retention.

This is a project-based role for someone who can help us create the foundation for scalable lifecycle marketing: not just write emails, but think strategically about customer journeys and automation.

What You'll Do
Develop an email drip campaign strategy across multiple stages of the customer lifecycle
Design customer journey flows focused on:
Engagement
Conversion
Retention
Recommend segmentation strategies and trigger-based automations
Help define campaign goals, KPIs, and success metrics
Collaborate with our team to understand customer behavior and business objectives
Build or help implement campaign workflows within our existing tools or advise on other platforms
Recommend best practices for ongoing lifecycle marketing improvements

Ideal Experience
Proven experience building email drip campaigns and lifecycle marketing programs
Strong understanding of customer segmentation, automation, and retention strategies
Experience with email marketing platforms and automation tools
Ability to think strategically while also executing tactically
Comfortable working independently in a project-based environment
Strong communication and documentation skills

Requirements
Can be located anywhere (remote)
Available for project-based / freelance work

Nice to Have
Experience working with startups or fast-moving teams
Experience improving activation, retention, or conversion metrics
Familiarity with experimentation / A/B testing approaches
