I am seeking an experienced bookkeeper or accountant to review, clean up, and finalize my financial records within QuickBooks Online/Desktop. The primary goal is to ensure that all historical entries are accurate, properly categorized, and reconciled so that the Profit & Loss (P&L) and Balance Sheet are ready for year-end tax filing.
Scope of Work
The project involves a deep dive into existing entries to fix inconsistencies and prepare the books for an external CPA. Key responsibilities include:
Audit & Correction: Review existing entries for the period of [Insert Date Range] to identify and fix duplicate entries, misclassified transactions, and data entry errors.
Chart of Accounts (COA) Optimization: Review the current COA. Reassign expenses and income to the correct accounts to ensure the P&L accurately reflects business operations.
Bank & Credit Card Reconciliation: Ensure all bank and credit card statements match the QuickBooks register balances perfectly.
Categorization: Assign "Uncategorized" or "Ask My Accountant" transactions to the appropriate categories based on provided receipts or business logic.
Adjusting Journal Entries: Perform necessary adjustments for depreciation, accruals, or personal-to-business expense transfers if required.
Tax Readiness: Generate a Final Trial Balance, P&L, and Balance Sheet that a CPA can use immediately for tax preparation without further cleanup.
