Writing & Translation Grants & Proposals

Sponsorships, Grants & Revenue Development Lead

We are looking for a creative, organized, and highly motivated person to help identify, pursue, and secure sponsorships, grants, partnerships, and other revenue opportunities for a growing educational/media platform.

This is a soup-to-nuts role. We need someone who can research opportunities from scratch, identify strong prospects, prepare outreach materials, help draft proposals, track submissions, follow up with contacts, and build a repeatable system for long-term revenue development.

The ideal candidate is part researcher, part strategist, part relationship-builder, and part creative problem-solver. You should be comfortable finding non-obvious funding opportunities and turning ideas into practical revenue pathways.

Responsibilities

  • Research sponsorship, grant, foundation, corporate giving, partnership, and revenue opportunities
  • Identify companies, nonprofits, schools, cultural organizations, community partners, and funding sources that align with our mission
  • Build and maintain a database of prospects, deadlines, contacts, requirements, and next steps
  • Draft outreach emails, sponsorship materials, grant summaries, proposals, and partnership language
  • Recommend creative revenue streams beyond traditional grants and sponsorships
  • Track applications, follow-ups, responses, and funding status
  • Help create a repeatable process for ongoing sponsorship, grant, and revenue development
  • Assist with relationship-building strategies for potential sponsors, donors, partners, and funders

Ideal Background

  • Experience with sponsorships, grants, fundraising, partnerships, business development, nonprofit revenue, or related work
  • Proven track record identifying or securing sponsorships, grants, partnerships, donations, or alternative revenue opportunities
  • Strong research, writing, and communication skills
  • Highly organized and able to manage multiple opportunities at different stages
  • Comfortable working independently and taking initiative
  • Creative thinker who can find practical funding paths others might miss
  • Bonus experience in education, media, culture, geography, youth programming, nonprofits, digital platforms, or community engagement

Applicants should be prepared to share relevant experience, examples of past successful work, and references upon request.

This is a flexible project-based role with the potential to grow. We are looking for someone who can help build the funding engine from the ground up, not just send a few emails and disappear.
