Student Behavior Tracking Project

Title: Full-Stack Engineer (React + NestJS + GraphQL + MySQL) — Student Behavior Tracking (Anecdotals) Table Workflow  (Paid Sample Project Required)
We’re hiring one contract full-stack engineer to build a table-centric “Anecdotals” workflow (ClickUp-style) for our education SaaS product. We have a Figma prototype and want someone who can execute quickly and thoughtfully. Completion of the paid $250 sample project is required to be considered.

What you’ll build (high-level)
Based on our Figma prototype, the MVP should include:
A table view of anecdotal records
Filters and/or search (as needed)
Row click → detail panel/drawer
Create/edit/update key fields
Basic scalability handling (pagination or similar)
A minimal foundation for insights/reporting (event tracking / metrics-ready structure)
Engagement model
Fixed-bid preferred (milestones)
Potential for ongoing work
What to include in your application
1–2 relevant examples (table-heavy UI, dashboards, admin tools)
Your availability + confirmation of 4+ hours EST overlap
Any initial assumptions or questions you’d want answered before starting


Required paid sample project ($250)
Purpose: Evaluate table-workflow execution, code quality, and ability to scope accurately.
Timebox: 4–6 hours
Payment: $250 via Guru SafePay upon submission (regardless of selection)
Submission: GitHub repo + docs + short demo video (no deployment required)
Sample project: Table + Detail Drawer POC (minimal)
Build a small proof-of-concept that demonstrates:
A table view (seeded sample data is fine)
Filters (simple is fine)
Clicking a row opens a detail drawer/panel
Ability to edit 1–2 fields and save
Keep it simple—this is not production code.
Required deliverables
GitHub repo that runs locally with clear instructions
Demo video (max 5 minutes) showing the POC working
TECHNICAL_APPROACH.md (1–2 pages) including:
High-level approach (frontend state, backend shape, data model, API shape)
Key risks/edge cases you’d plan for in the real build (scale, performance, usability)
What technical prep work you’d do first (e.g., review Figma flows, confirm record fields/status rules, event tracking plan)
PROJECT_ESTIMATE.md (required)
Provide a full estimate for delivering the real Anecdotals project:
milestone plan (MVP → scale/performance → insights/reporting foundation)
timeline
fixed-bid cost (or milestone costs)
assumptions + what would change the estimate
