I have to trading strategies I am looking to have coded. Both strategies rely on my custom thinkscript RSI code that, when triggered, places a trade from an option chain. I can do this with conditional orders, but it is very manual. I would prefer a GUI that uses the TOS Rest API. But, maybe its possible to do this with a strategy
I have two similar trading automatons. I can execute both of them with conditional orders, but, its a manual process. I need both coded so they are automated. They are quite simple. In talking to several developers, some are suggesting a simple GUI hosts on a server using the Rest API. I am not sure if that is necessary. Maybe it is. The just of is this: 1) watch my custom RSI. When the RSI crosses over the midline, look at the option chain for a predefined number of points out from the current strike price, and buy a pre-defined amount of option contracts. Right now I am focusing on crossing to the upside and will add the downside when the market changes. Then execute a sell order on a pre-defined number of points away from the bought strike price. The other criteria is it can only start between specific times. For the first one it will only look for the cross (on the two min timeframe) between 12:45 and 12:55, then stop. The other one will look for the cross (on the 15 timeframe) from 8am to 12:30pm then stop. There is no other magic. The challenge is how to watch the SPY or SPX, and execute option trades based on that specific strike price. Again, I can do this as a conditional order quite easy. I just do not have the time to creates these multiple times a day. Let me know if this is something you think you can do
