Own the full lifecycle of a marketing/informational website—from initial build to ongoing updates, performance, accessibility, SEO, and security.
Core Responsibilities
Build responsive webpages and components (mobile-first) using HTML5, CSS3, and JavaScript.
Maintain and improve existing pages (content updates, bug fixes, refactors).
Implement on-page SEO (metadata, schema, sitemaps, clean URLs).
Monitor and optimize performance (Core Web Vitals, image optimization, caching, CDNs).
Ensure accessibility (WCAG 2.2 AA) and cross-browser compatibility.
Set up analytics & reporting (GA4/Search Console) and track KPIs.
Manage source control (Git) and CI/CD for safe deployments.
Harden security (HTTPS, headers, dependency updates).
Coordinate with design/content teams and document changes.
2+ years building and maintaining production websites (portfolio required).
Strong in HTML5, CSS3 (Flexbox/Grid), JavaScript/TypeScript.
Experience with at least one: React, Next.js, Vue, or plain JS sites.
Proficiency with Git/GitHub and modern build tooling (Vite, Webpack, or similar).
SEO fundamentals (title/description, canonical tags, schema.org, image alt text).
Accessibility best practices (semantic markup, keyboard nav, ARIA basics).
Performance tuning (lazy loading, code splitting, image formats like WebP/AVIF).
Familiarity with CMS (WordPress, Headless CMS, or similar) or static site generators.
GitHub (PRs), GA4 & Search Console, Lighthouse/PageSpeed Insights, Vercel/Netlify (or similar), CMS (WordPress/Headless), Issue tracker (Jira/Linear), Figma.
